LEAGUE NEWS:
Our league is now at 7 teams! The Proclaimers had so many new players on their roaster they chose to form 2 teams! We would like to welcome the Kings (orange) and Wisemen (grey)!!
Something else that's new this year is we will be trying out a double-header format for some of our games. It's been an idea that the league leadership has been throwing around the last few years and we feel that it's worth giving it a shot this year.
In other news, we'd like to praise God for a great time at our Dodgeball Fundraiser. Here are a few pictures!

Trust and Faith
- written july.17.2010
This season God has been teaching me more and more about trust and faithfulness in Him. Today’s games topped it off. I woke up this morning excited to play, and found myself waking up to rain. I immediately prayed that God would take away the rain and bring sunshine…but then I realized that I was trying to impress my will on God. I then changed my prayer, knowing that His plans are always better than mine. I prayed that His will be done, and that He give us a clear sign if He wanted us to play. (As a committee, we’ve decided at the beginning of the season to call the games at 10am.) When 10:00 rolled around, all I saw around me were clear skies, so we decided that God was giving us the go-ahead with the games. Then an hour or two later, heavy rain started in most areas of the city, and phones were off the hook from players and coaches wondering if games were going to be cancelled. Lindsay and I got to the diamond and it was drizzling, but we could see clear skies southwest of us, despite the black skies to the north. We were both on the phone with the coaches playing in the first game, and when they asked if the game would now be cancelled, a ray of light peaked through the clouds! Sign #2 from God that games should go on! So we trusted God to get all the players here for the games, and it turned out to be two great games!! The in and outfield were dry and weather was great during the games! The skies definitely did not say “game-on”, but God did! Had we not trusted God and His guidance, we would’ve missed out on two great games, and more importantly, we wouldn’t have seen His glory! All the teams that played today are witnesses of God’s power – that He is in control of ALL circumstances, no matter how hopeless something looks. He listens AND answers our prayers, but we need to TRUST His answer and walk in faith! I’m writing this and still in awe of what happened today...
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and he will make your paths straight"
- Proverbs 3:5-6
Anita (Head Governor)
Addendum: No rain-out games to date!! So far God has provided playable weather every Saturday, despite dicey forecasts!
